Our hotel, which has been completely renovated and modernized, was once home to the local nursery school for the small village of Boffetto, close to Piateda.
The previous building was redesigned with a new plan by architect Manuel Zecca. The aim of the design was to create a building that maintained the appearance of the old nursery, while increasing its size, to modernize it and improve energy efficiency (wall insulation, double glazed windows, and solar panels).
Compared with the previous building the hostel was extended by around 1,090 cubic metres, and added an extra floor and a lift, creating a space that meets the needs of our guests, offering cosy, comfortable accommodation.
Ostello Guicciardi was built to offer a base for all outdoor activities offered around Valtellina and the River Adda: biking, river sports like rafting, hydrospeed, canoeing and kayaking, as well as catch and release fishing.
